Job Description :
The State of New York is seeking a Project Manager for Permit Systems with expertise in project management, software development life cycle (SDLC), stakeholder communication, and workflow systems . The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience overseeing medium to large-scale IT projects with distinct deliverables and multiple work streams.
- Lead In-House and Consultant Development Teams , overseeing software applications for permitting, inspections, roadway repair, bridge maintenance, and asset management.
- Define Project Scope , schedules, budgets, and deliverables while collaborating with stakeholders and senior management.
- Apply Project Management Methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, RUP) for high-complexity IT projects.
- Serve as the Key Point of Contact for project status, scope changes, risk mitigation, and technical / financial concerns.
- Supervise Programming Staff and ensure quality assurance processes are followed throughout the SDLC.
- Utilize Project Management Tools such as MS Project, Jira, Primavera, Azure DevOps, and Visio .
- Implement Change Management Plans , ensuring regular review of project performance metrics and generating reports on progress.
- Proactively Identify Risks and Issues , resolving potential conflicts and ensuring project success.
