As part of several openings of ours in Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD, GovStaff is seeking a mid-level experienced Systems Administrator to serve under a major IT support contract for the Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC).
Hybrid schedule arrangement with a minimum of two days per week in the APG office after a full-time onsite "ramp-up" period.

QUALIFICATIONS :
- Bachelor's Degree and 7 years' experience; experience which may include education / specialized training / certifications may be substituted for education.
- Experience in VMWare systems administration including troubleshooting and monitoring
- Experience in resolving complex issues associated with configuration management. resource sharing and basic networking troubleshooting and problem identification.
- Experience in resolving security issues, identity management, records retention, and adhering to destruction policies
- Experience using and writing operating system commands and scripts , and scripting languages, including one or more of Bash, Powershell, Python, Ruby, and / or Perl.
- Experience with performance tuning, capacity planning and bottleneck resolution, administration of Microsoft Servers, building and maintaining high-availability, clustered and scalable systems, advanced web technologies such as ASP.NET, pipeline, load balancing, etc.; managing production environments using automated install, automated build and deployment, automated configuration management, enterprise monitoring systems, server virtualization, load balancing, web servers, and application servers
- Experience managing or working with Windows Server and Linux Operating systems and associated configuration tools is desirable.
- Experience and / or working knowledge of Kubernetes is desirable.
- Experience / exposure to managing and maintaining the cloud infrastructure services and servers (e.g., Azure) is desirable
- Education or certification must be in an IT discipline related to the assigned program area (e.g Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer or Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, Computer Forensics / Security, etc.).
- Must possess current Security (or equivalent DOD Directive 8570.1 IAT II)
