What are the responsibilities and job description for the Library Page position at Gowanda Free Library?
The Gowanda Free Library is looking for a part-time Library Page with:
✓ A positive, friendly, motivated, and enthusiastic attitude and works well with patrons of all ages, including young children and teens.
✓ An interest in literature for all ages.
✓ Comfort with spending time shelving and organizing books, as well as maintaining the order and appearance of the library.
✓ Comfort with computer technology.
Position duties include:
- Working scheduled hours to provide services and answer questions of all library visitors.
- Aiding in the housekeeping duties of the library.
- Compiling daily statistics.
- Reading advisory and research materials in the library system as requested by patrons.
- Promoting library programs and resources.
- Assisting with library programs for all ages.
- Assisting in preparing crafts and marketing materials.
- Shelving materials.
- Maintaining the order and appearance of the library’s collections.
- Performing regular library duties and operations 12-15 hours a week.
This is a minimum-wage position. The library offers paid time off (established by our policies) and a great working environment. Join our team!
Experience in a library is a plus, but not needed. We will train you!
