Currently, Goyette Mechanical Company has an immediate opening for a Project Engineer in our Construction Department at worksites in the greater Columbus and Dayton, OH area.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Maintain a presence at a jobsite trailer, order and organize office supplies for the jobsite trailer, and greet visitors
- Process submittals and maintain a submittal log
- Purchase misc. materials and equipment needed for projects including requesting quotes, writing purchase orders, maintaining a purchase order log, keeping track of deliveries, and approving invoices
- Track delivery dates for major equipment and material purchase orders
- Keep a log of extra work performed by subcontractors
- Assist the project managers, superintendents, foreman, commissioning team, and safety technicians with their tasks as needed
- Strong verbal & written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and comfortably with customers and employees over the phone and in person
- Strong organizational skills are required
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook required
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work based on deadlines; excellent time management skills are necessary to succeed in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy are highly critical in this role
- Must be able to foster and support a teamwork environment, placing a high emphasis on excellent customer service
- Proven ability to foster a positive and productive safety culture while promoting cooperation and improved morale throughout the division
- This position will be located in a jobsite trailer at a construction site.
