What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automation Tech 1 Night Shift position at GP&C?
Full Job Description/Notes:
1. Set up, operate, and troubleshoot various CNC lathes (Mori Seiki, Nakamura, Okuma, Fadal, Haas, etc.)
- Debur components and manifolds if needed
- Perform minor program edits and off-sets as required
- Use Fanuc controls
- Maintain production and quality data
6. Load and unload incoming raw material from conveyor and bins
7. Inspect parts and fill out ITP correctly
8. Load program and change fixtures on all part numbers
9. Ensure robot is always running and speed set at 100%
10. Communicate any kind of issues pertaining to any of the robots or machines immediately, to Set-up techs or Leads
11. Fill out hour by hour sheets as required
12. Ability to lift 20 lbs. and stand for an 8–12-hour shift
13. Supplement other departmental duties as required
14. Uses quality measuring tools to verify product conformity (i.e., micrometers, calipers, bore gauge, micro height gauges etc.)
15. Monitors process using quality tools to ensure conformance of products, including following work instructions, prints, and other documents.
16. Thorough knowledge of the following elements is expected:
· Follows all safety rules
· Reads and interprets blueprints to plan setup and operations of machines
· Reports all maintenance problems to supervisor for prompt attention
· Report any safety issues to supervisor
· Works with others as required in a team-based work environment
· Follows daily production schedule to meet internal and external customer requirements
· All other duties as assigned
· Understanding of 2 through 5 axis machining in a composite environment.
· Educational Requirements: High school diploma or GED required
· Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers and decimals.
