What are the responsibilities and job description for the Molding Tech 1 (Day Shift) position at GP&C?
1. Work in a safe manner in a safe environment.
2. Responsible to perform to the production schedule to include starting production on time to the assigned machines.
3. Capable of producing rubber on the mills.
4. Capable of laying out rubber from the lab mills.
5. Capable of operating the Injection Molding Equipment (DESMA), Transfer Presses, and Compression Presses.
6. Capable of producing Phenolic and Rubber pieces.
7. Capable of assembly of Composite & Micrologic Pads.
8. Capable of part preparation to include sandblasting, painting and assembly.
9. Responsible to keep their area clean.
10. All other duties as assigned
Skills:
1. Ability to read and operate a micrometer
2. Ability to read and operate a caliper
3. Can read, write, and speak English
4. Experience with phenolic molding
5. Experience with quality testing and measurement
6. Able to work 6 days per week if needed
7. Able to work 12-hour shift and swing shifts
8. Capable of lifting 50 pounds
9. Able to perform simple math calculations
