What are the responsibilities and job description for the Resin Operator Helper (Night Shift) position at GP&C?
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Dispense Resin from pumps based on job
- Issue material/batches to work orders
- Change out resin/hardener pumps when needed.
- Stage material
- Apply heat blankets to material when neccessary
- Clean machines
- Complete paperwork as necessary (checklists, logs and material request forms)
- Remove and replace temporary flooring at workstation
- Sweep and Mop floors as required
- Monitor/clean resin disposal area
- Labor in/out using data collect
- Maintain 5S standards
- Deliver resin to internal customer
- Perform refractive index testing and record the results into our quality system
- Change out empty barrels and remove lids using a barrel operner
- Perform necessary preventative maintenance on equipment
- Work closely with other departments to determine priorities
- Use of overhead crane (OJT and in-house certification)
- Use of forklift (OJT and in-house certification)
- Follow all work procedures for the area
- Comply with all safety and company policies
QUALIFITCATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- No experience required
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic computer skills
- Read and speak English
- Basic math skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Must be able to lift 45lbs
- Must be able to wear all required PPE
- Must be able to stand for 10-12 hours per shift
- Must be able to work in both hot and cold conditions
- Must be able to work around different types of resins and composite materials
- Must be able to work around chemicals and solvents such as acetone, releasing agents and various cleaning supplies
