What are the responsibilities and job description for the T-Mobile Neighborhood Retailer IT Security Administrator position at GP Mobile?
Seeking a Security Administrator with a strong IT generalist background to join our team. This role is not strictly focused on security but will also involve day-to-day IT operations such as managing tickets, imaging computers, and handling inventory management, including shipping and receiving computers at our corporate office.
The ideal candidate will have experience with Microsoft 365 security tools (Defender, Purview) and a strong understanding of IT networking principles. This position will also play a key role in building and managing our new imaging station for PCs that are not joined to Intune.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist with IT security operations, including monitoring Microsoft 365 Defender, Purview, and security-related configurations.
- Support day-to-day IT operations, including working on IT tickets in Freshservice (or similar platforms).
- Manage computer imaging processes, including helping to set up and maintain an imaging station using FOG or an equivalent solution.
- Handle inventory management, including shipping and receiving computers at the corporate office.
- Provide general network troubleshooting and support (DHCP, DNS, VLANs, OSI model).
- Assist with the management of switches, firewalls, and routers (experience with these is a plus but not required).
- Collaborate with remote team members to troubleshoot and implement IT solutions.
- Participates in the on-call rotation to support security and IT operations as needed.

- Strong understanding of IT networking (DHCP, DNS, VLANs, OSI model).
- Experience with Microsoft 365 security tools (Defender, Purview, etc.).
- Hands-on IT support experience, including troubleshooting hardware / software issues.
- Ability to manage IT tickets and assist end users with technical issues.
- Familiarity with imaging processes (FOG or equivalent experience is a plus).
- Ability to work independently on-site while collaborating with remote team members.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Security Management or equivalent work experience will be considered.
- Minimum 3-5 years prior experience working in related field. Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have) :
- Experience with Freshservice or another IT ticketing platform.
- Familiarity with Intune for device management.
- Experience managing switches, firewalls, and routers.
- CompTIA Security or Network certifications (not required but a plus).

Compensation : $95,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year

Salary : $95,000 - $105,000
