SUMMARY
The basic function of the Third Plant Supervisor is to oversee the operations of all operating departments and ensure workflows through department in a productive, cost effective and quality manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
- Report personnel or product safety concerns to management
- Enforce all company policies concerning maintenance, safety, breaks, housecleaning, and fire prevention.
- Ensure building is locked down and secured after designated time on a nightly basis.
- Oversee all operations and machinery production in all departments.
- Handle any personnel problems that may arise and inform the necessary management.
- Participate in all night employee performance reviews with the respective department supervisor.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES
Supervises all third shift subordinates throughout the Plant. Is responsible for the overall supervision, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include: assigning work, checking work, discipline, maintaining quality and quantity standards, organizing work, evaluations, prioritizing and delegating work assignments as directed by upper management.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, write short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence, effectively present information one-on-one, small groups, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent, and draw bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
