SUMMARY :
While a job description may not fully encompass every detail of a position, the purpose of the following is to provide an outline of goals, responsibilities, ability and knowledge required in order to successfully perform this job. The Financial and Accounting Coordinator is responsible for supporting the USA Regional CFO on all the finance and accounting activities. This includes, but is not limited to, FP&A, accounting review, compliance, taxes, month end close, budgeting, internal and external reporting, financial and accounting audit, internal audit, Sarbanes Oxley, outside agency audit tasks, M&A and special projects. This position also is responsible for helping to create or change, implement, and enforce accounting policies and procedures as required to maintain the financial health of the Organization. This should be accomplished by having a thorough understand of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). This position will also support general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll in all of Aquafil companies in the USA.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
- Perform analytical review of all main GL account and investigate variances vs history and vs budget
- Perform account analysis and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts & all subsidiary ledgers at the end of each month.
- Reconcile all bank accounts and investment accounts monthly.
- Assist the finance function with duties related to the month-end close, year-end close and outside agency audit tasks.
- Assist the CFO with the coordination of all audit activity. Includes preparation of work papers and reconciliations as requested by external auditors.
- Prepare monthly cash flow reports vs. budget.
- Assist in the development, write up, modification and implementation of accounting procedures, systems and internal controls.
- Backup to other Finance Department positions as needed.
- Support externa reporting to banks and other institutions
- Perform other duties as requested by the CFO. ESSENTIAL SKILLS & ABILITY
