What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Manager position at Gpac?
Our fast growing, production company is seeking an Accounting Manager. This position will provide the successful candidate the opportunity to apply their knowledge, learn new skills and work as a member of a dynamic team. This position will provide us with daily, end -of-month and end-of-year accounting tasks, as well as analyze the cost of materials, supplies, machinery, shipping and other processes in the plant. The ideal candidate for this role will have experience of at least 5-10 years in accounting. Additionally, the candidate for this position will be motivated to grow, building a career for years to come. This position will have access to the CFO & CEO as we grow our North American market and expand internationally.
Plant Accountant Responsibilities :
- Assist CFO / Controller in establishing sound financial strategies
- Implement processes to build support structure for new strategies
- Manage accounting / finance staff
- Coordinate and assign special projects to team
- Evaluate accuracy of general ledger
- Reconcile all accounts within required timeframe and prepare all monthly bank reports
- Analyze all financial records and assist in consolidation of all financial statements
- Ensure compliance to all local, state and Federal regulations and oversee all payroll and account payable and receivable functions
- Prepare all required correspondence and maintain all accounting files on computer and ensure accuracy of same
- Administer and reconcile all accounts on monthly basis and manage all cash disbursement issues
- Maintain accuracy for same and perform audit on all annual budget processes
- Work with plant operations to maintain accuracy of the fixed assets ledger
- Recommend process improvement strategies to management and maintain knowledge of all current plant trends
- Focus on researching, validating and taking appropriate accounting actions for customer-initiated payment variances received through routine A / R payments
