Accounting Specialist / Accounts Receivable
POSITION : Fulltime - Hybrid (Downtown Pittsburgh)
JOB SUMMARY : The Accounting Specialist / Accounts Receivable will provide accounting support to the Controller, including account reconciliation, and general ledger accounting. The ideal candidate must have experience working in accounts receivables, preferably in a law firm.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES :
- Provide accounting support to the Controller, including accounts receivable, account reconciliation, and general ledger accounting
- Maintain accurate and complete records, including ledgers, journals and receipts
- Post, verify and record all client payments and retainers related to accounts receivable and trust accounts
- Set up ACH payments with banks to receive client payments
- Provide support to staff for reconciling filing fees and other expenses
- Process daily cash receipts, ACH deposits, wire transfers and credit card payments and accurately post them to the proper accounts
- Reconcile monthly bank account(s)
- Assist with journal entries and monthly receivable reports
- Additional duties as assigned
