Agronomist Responsibilities
- Make seed, fertilizer, and chemical recommendations to growers
- Work alongside other agronomists to carry out daily responsibilities
- Facilitate positive long-term relationships with customers to create and promote long-term repeat business
- Prepare sales presentations, contracts, and proposals to ensure successful transactions
- Forecast supply requirements on a month and annual basis
- Perform a variety of agronomic duties independently
- Keep up to date on all agronomy services and technology, including seed, Precision Farming technology, finance, and marketing tools
- 3 years of agronomy related experience preferred
- A degree in Agronomy/Agriculture preferred or equivalent experience
- Self-motivated, ability to work independently and with a team
- Established book of business in Illinois
