A highly respected and growing Building Supply Company in Northern Minnesota is looking for an Architectural Designer/Drafter with talent, initiative and drive to join their team. Qualified candidates must have 5 years of residential home and/or small commercial drafting experience. Architectural Designer/Drafter Qualifications

Architectural Designer/Drafter Qualifications
- Candidates should have 5 years of experience creating coordinated drawing sets for residential/small commercial projects
- Bachelor's or Associates degree in related field preferred but not required
- Knowledge of building codes and NKBA guidelines
- Ability to utilize Softplan Design Software
- Candidates must be team orientated with the ability to take direction and work independently
- Ability to communicate in a clear, timely and accurate manner
- Detail orientated and willing to see tasks, particularly drawing coordination, through to completion
- Comfortable operating autonomously
- Be an independent, self-starter who executes tasks on time and with a high level of attention to detail
- Be proactive in problem solving
- Be loyal, hardworking, and comfortable in a fast paced small-business environment where priorities can change quickly
- Occasionally attend initial meetings with prospective clients and introduce them to our design process
- This position will work closely with clients to understand their needs and desires, and then create beautiful and functional design solutions
- Assist in writing a clear and detailed scope of work for clients and staff
