A well-established and respected defense law firm based in Roanoke, is seeking a motivated and skilled Associate Attorney to join our growing team. We are seeking a skilled attorney that enjoys trial work, with 2-5 years of experience to assist in all aspects of defense litigation, including case preparation, client interaction, and courtroom representation. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of civil defense law, a strong work ethic, and the ability to handle a variety of legal tasks with confidence.Key Responsibilities : Practice background in Insurance Defense, Liability Defense, Civili LItigation, Commercial LitigationHandle all phases of litigation from initial case assessment to trial preparation and post-trial motions.Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.Represent clients in depositions, hearings, and trials.Conduct legal research and provide sound legal advice to clients.Manage case files and ensure timely filing of documents and deadlines.Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff to develop case strategies.Attend client meetings and maintain strong client relationships.Qualifications : J.D. from an accredited law school.Licensed to practice law in Virginia.2-5 years of experience in defense litigationExperience with legal research and case management tools.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.Benefits : Competitive salary based on experience.Health, dental, and vision insurance.Retirement plan (401k).Paid time off and holiday leave.Competitive Bonus!Hybrid / Remote OfferingsCollaborative open door work environmentHow to Apply : For additional information on this opportunity, please contact Lindsay Campeau at (517) 855-2199 .
