A Custom Plastic Hardware Manufacturing firm in Columbia County are looking for an experienced CNC Machine Operator
The firm - is a well-respected and Established Privately Owned / Operated custom Plastic Hardware Manufacturing firm that has been in business since 1967.
The experienced CNC Machine Operator will set up and operate a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machine to produce machined parts.
Responsibilities :
- Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints and checking material stock.
- Set up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting chucks, tools, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops and stock pushers.
- Load material.
- Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part and sample pieces.
- Troubleshoot processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; following quality assurance procedures and processes.
- Address preventive maintenance requirements, troubleshoot malfunctions and request repairs.
Experience :
- Significant (7 years) operation experience of CNC mills or lathes
- Technical school or training related to CNCs
- Experience working in the plastics industry helpful
Compensation : Up to 29 / HR Shift Differential Benefits
