Responsibilities
- Develop CNC programs (Esprit experience is required) to support the machining of complex, precision metal components on multi-axis CNC milling machines and multi-tasking machining centers.
- Review and interpret manufacturing detailed drawings and process plans to create and edit CNC programs for part geometry, features, tolerances, and material.
- Determine appropriate tooling for job-specific applications based on part material, geometry, features, tolerances, system rigidity, and equipment capability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including programmers, machinists, gunsmiths, and management, to support program schedules and performance goals, mitigate manufacturing risks, and optimize efficiency.
- Participate in the selection, setup, and operation of CNC equipment and related tooling, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve CNC programming and machining issues, including identifying and correcting errors in code or part programming.
- Maintain accurate documentation of CNC programs, tooling selections, and machining processes.
- High School graduate or GED equivalent.
- At least 5 years of experience in a machine shop environment, with at least 5 years in a CNC programming role.
- Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerances (GD&T) and ability to read, interpret and understand manufacturing detailed drawings and process plans.
- Demonstrated proficiency using CAD/CAM software (SolidWorks, Mastercam, with (Esprit programming experience being a requirement) to support the machining of precision components.
- Experience with multi-axis CNC milling machines and multi-tasking machining centers.
- Detail-oriented with strong communication skills.
- Familiarity with CNC equipment and tooling, including setup and operation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in a manufacturing environment that may include exposure to noise, dust, and fumes.

Salary : $75,000 - $120,000
