Commercial Construction Estimator

We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Commercial Construction Estimator to join our team in Cleveland Ohio. As a leading general contractor in the commercial construction industry, we specialize in delivering high-quality projects that exceed client expectations. We are looking for a motivated individual with experience in estimating commercial construction projects to contribute to our continued success.

Responsibilities

• Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates for commercial construction projects.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
• Utilize estimating software and tools to perform quantity takeoffs, cost analysis, and pricing.
• Prepare detailed and competitive bid proposals in a timely manner.
• Conduct thorough research on materials, labor, and equipment costs to ensure accuracy.
• Review and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and project walkthroughs as required.
• Maintain organized records of estimates, bids, and related documents.
• Assist in value engineering and cost-saving initiatives.
• Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and building codes.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience estimating commercial construction projects for a general contractor.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in using estimating software such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or equivalent.
• Familiarity with construction scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) is a plus.
• Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
