Job Description
The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing, processing, and approving consumer loans for individuals, ensuring excellent customer service while adhering to company policies and regulatory requirements based on their financial needs and eligibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze loan applications, credit reports, and financial information to determine creditworthiness.
- Guide applicants through the loan application process, explain terms, and ensure they understand the loan conditions and repayment options.
- Make informed decisions on loan approvals or denials based on established guidelines, credit history, and other relevant factors.
- Evaluate all required documentation to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Stay updated with industry regulations and ensure that all loan transactions comply with federal, state, and local laws.
- Identify opportunities to cross-sell other financial products and services to customers based on their needs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in consumer lending or a similar financial services role (2 years preferred).
- Strong knowledge of lending practices, credit analysis, and loan documentation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and loan processing software.
- Experience with loan underwriting and risk assessment.
- Bilingual language skills (Spanish or other languages) a plus.
- Previous experience in a customer service-oriented financial institution.
