Responsibilities
- Manage complex commercial litigation matters from start to finish, including case strategy, discovery, motions, depositions, and trial preparation.
- Represent clients in state and federal courts, as well as in arbitration and mediation proceedings.
- Draft and review legal documents, including complaints, answers, motions, discovery requests, and settlement agreements.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys in the development of case strategies and legal arguments.
- Participate in client meetings, advising on case developments, strategies, and settlement options.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support litigation strategy.
- Manage and coordinate discovery efforts, including document review and depositions.
- Develop and maintain client relationships, fostering trust and confidence.
- Provide guidance to junior associates and paralegals as needed.
- JD from an accredited law school, with strong academic credentials.
- 2 to 7 years of experience in commercial litigation (ideally in complex cases).
- Stable employment history, with at least 2 years at a law firm.
- Strong ties to South Florida (preferred).
- Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- A proven track record of managing and litigating complex commercial cases.
- Admission to the Florida Bar is required.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach to legal practice.
