Commercial Title Examiner - Remote
A Leading Settlement & Escrow Company has an opening for a Commercial Title Examiner! As one of the Northeast region’s largest Title Insurance Agency handling transactions throughout the country, this is an innovative and successful company handling every kind of real estate transaction from single family residences to the most complex multi-site commercial transactions.
The Commercial Title Examiner will be responsible for the examination of commercial titles, searching real estate records, and compiling detailed lists of mortgages and other relevant contracts. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills and 3 years of relevant experience within the title industry.
Key Responsibilities
- The Commercial Title Examiner requires experience with commercial title search and examination, review of legal documents, coordination with stakeholders (i.e attorneys, lenders, other parties involved) and title insurance policy issuance.
- Review and analyze survey maps, plats, and legal descriptions to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Receive all title searches for review and examination as appropriate.
- Examine title searches to prepare title commitments.
- Deliver title commitments to appropriate parties, including realtors, lenders, etc.
- Complete all related system tasks.
- Serve as a resource to the examinations team on title questions.
- Maintain a strong working relationship with underwriting counsel.
- Address all client requests and parties associated with the transaction in a timely manner.
