Functions
Clinical Leadership:
- Provide leadership, supervision, and mentorship to outpatient addiction counselors and support staff.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for growth, program development, and team development.
- Ensure adherence to ASAM Criteria, evidence-based practices, and ethical treatment standards.
- Conduct and oversee substance abuse evaluations to ensure accurate assessments and appropriate treatment plans.
- Monitor group therapy, individual counseling, aftercare, and educational programs for effectiveness and consistency.
- Ensure proper documentation of client participation, progress, and treatment outcomes.
- Develop and maintain relationships with referral agencies, community partners, and criminal justice members.
- Attend conferences, training, and community meetings to stay current with best practices in addiction treatment.
- Represent the organization in community outreach efforts, advocacy initiatives, and professional networks.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of reports, records, and operational documentation.
- Address staffing challenges, client concerms, operational function, and clinical priorities as needed
Education:
- Master's degree preferred (or Bachelor's degree with extensive experience) in social work, psychology, counseling, human services, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years in addiction treatment, with at least 2 years in leadership role.
- Must hold or be eligible for ACT, CAC, or LAC certification in South Dakota.
- MRT and/or CBISA certification preferred.
- Master's Level Licensure preferred (Bachelor with extensive experience considred).
- Valid driver's license required.
