Roles & Responsibilities
- Leads the organization in developing and maintaining cost models and provides inputs to product costing to enable timely and accurate quotes to customers.
- Cradle to grave responsibility in leading product launch teams to effectively launch precision machined components and assemblies through the New Product Introduction Process (NPI).
- Develop, implement and maintain policies, standards, and procedures for the engineering and technical work performed in the organization.
- Maintains as the subject matter expert of machining and automation processes to ensure implementation and use of state-of-the-art technologies for optimum quality & cost performance.
- Fosters a continuous improvement mindset for correcting non-conformance as well as driving efficiencies into existing processes, methods and procedures.
- Provides technical expertise and guidance to engineering teams, production associates and top management.
- Supports established organizational objectives by developing goals and strategies.
- Maintains good relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Plans and coordinates the work of engineering staff.
- Oversees engineering staff and ensures that they meet goals and objectives.
- Recruits additional engineering staff as needed.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Provides training and mentoring as needed.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Extensive technical knowledge of engineering and product development.

- Experience in a CNC metals manufacturing environment or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree in engineering required; Master's degree in Engineering or Business Administration preferred.
- At least ten years of related managerial experience required.
- A minimum of ten years in the Machine Tool Technology trade.
- Working experience of ISO9001/AS9100 preferred.
