Electronics Test Engineer Responsibilities
The Electronics Test Engineer role involves supporting the control of electronic part requirements and ensuring compliance with program standards and specifications. Key tasks include :
- Source Control Drawings (SCDs) are generated and supplier control documentation is reviewed.
- Part program requirements, including approved parts lists, nonconformance reports, and test documents, are verified for compliance.
- Incoming inspection data, vendor / manufacturer QPL, and certificates of conformance are reviewed and evaluated.
- Part-specific data packages are created, and discrepant material reports (DMRs) are generated and resolved.
- Data configuration, logging, and storage are managed within electronic databases, such as Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems and Access databases.
- Coordination with Engineering, Material Control, and Quality Assurance is conducted to address part issues and performance requirements.
- Familiarity with EEE parts selection, characterization, screening, restrictive usage, traceability / lot control, destructive physical analysis (DPA), and nuclear radiation requirements for space programs is required.
