The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of construction materials, methods, and cost structures, with a proven track record in estimating ground-up multifamily projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare comprehensive estimates for ground-up multifamily projects, including material, labor, and equipment costs.
- Review architectural and engineering plans, specifications, and bid documents to ensure accuracy.
- Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate bids from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Work closely with project managers, developers, and architects to align budgets with project goals.
- Identify value engineering opportunities to optimize costs without sacrificing quality.
- Analyze historical cost data and market trends to refine pricing models.
- Assist in pre-construction planning and project feasibility assessments.
- Experience: 3 years of estimating experience in ground-up multifamily construction.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field is preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, construction methods, and industry pricing.
- Proficiency in estimating software such as ProEst, PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or Sage Estimating.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
