Key Responsibilities
- Procure corn, soybeans, and wheat from local producers, ensuring that all purchases meet company quality standards.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with grain producers and suppliers.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms to ensure competitive pricing and reliable supply.
- Monitor market trends, weather patterns, and other factors affecting the supply and demand for grain
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in grain merchandising, specifically in procuring corn, soybeans, and wheat
- Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of successful buying from producers
- In-depth knowledge of the grain industry, market trends, and pricing dynamics
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Must be willing to relocate to Pennsylvania.
- Competitive salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 annually
