Job Description
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Grain Orginator. This individual will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing high-quality grain from local producers and suppliers, ensuring the company's supply chain is efficient and cost-effective. The ideal candidate will ahve strong knowledge of agricultural commodities, excellent negotation skills, and the ability tou biuld and maintain relationships with farmers, co-ops, and other stakeholders in the grain industry.
Grain Originator Responsibilities :
- Identify and secure grain from farmers, co-ops, and other local sources. Negotatie contracts and pricing to ensure the company obtains the best possilbe grain at competitive market rates.
- Develop and maintain strong relatoinships with farmers, grain elevators, and other suppliers to ensure a reliable and consistent grain supply.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, pricing fluctuations, and regional supply decisions to make informed decisions.
- Coordinate with transportation and logistics teams to ensure the timely delivery of grain.
- Negotation purchase agreements, forward contracts, and delivery schedules with grain suppliers.
- Prepare regular reports on grain market conditions, procurement performance, inventory levels, and pricing trends
- Address any issues related to grain supply, quality, or delivery, and take appropriate steps to resolve them.
