- Lead a diverse team of supervisors, drivers, helpers, dispatchers, and clerks
- Oversee route efficiency, productivity, labor usage, and customer service metrics
- Ensure safety and regulatory compliance across all operations
- Manage hiring, training, performance reviews, and employee development
- Own and manage departmental budgets, expenses, and vendor relationships
- Build strong relationships with local government and community stakeholders
- Implement operational strategies that align with business goals and market growth
- Experience managing large frontline teams in waste, recycling, transportation, or logistics
- Strong understanding of safety programs, DOT compliance, and environmental regulations
- Solid leadership and coaching skills with a track record of developing talent
- Ability to execute strategy, manage change, and drive accountability
