About The Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Hydraulic Dredging Project Manager to lead and oversee dredging operations for environmental restoration, land reclamation, waterway maintenance, and resource recovery projects. This role requires a strategic leader who can manage project timelines, budgets, and teams while ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Oversight: Plan, coordinate, and execute hydraulic dredging projects from inception to completion, ensuring efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Equipment & Operations Management: Oversee dredging equipment, including suction pumps, cutterheads, and pipeline systems, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and direct dredging crews, subcontractors, and vendors, fostering a culture of safety and productivity.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all dredging operations adhere to federal, state, and local environmental regulations and permitting requirements.
  • Budget & Cost Control: Develop and manage project budgets, control costs, and identify opportunities for operational efficiency.
  • Client & Stakeholder Coordination: Work closely with clients, engineers, environmental agencies, and regulatory bodies to meet project objectives.
  • Site & Risk Management: Assess project sites, anticipate challenges, and implement solutions to mitigate risks and delays.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5 years of experience in hydraulic dredging, marine construction, or a related field.
  • Proven project management experience, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic dredging equipment, pipeline transport, and dewatering processes.
  • Familiarity with environmental regulations, permits, and compliance standards related to dredging.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work in fast-paced environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Marine Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field (preferred but not required).
  • Certifications such as PMP, OSHA, or dredging-specific training are a plus.
