Our client is seeking an experienced Hydraulic Dredging Project Manager to lead and oversee dredging operations for environmental restoration, land reclamation, waterway maintenance, and resource recovery projects. This role requires a strategic leader who can manage project timelines, budgets, and teams while ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Oversight: Plan, coordinate, and execute hydraulic dredging projects from inception to completion, ensuring efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
- Equipment & Operations Management: Oversee dredging equipment, including suction pumps, cutterheads, and pipeline systems, ensuring optimal performance.
- Team Leadership: Manage and direct dredging crews, subcontractors, and vendors, fostering a culture of safety and productivity.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all dredging operations adhere to federal, state, and local environmental regulations and permitting requirements.
- Budget & Cost Control: Develop and manage project budgets, control costs, and identify opportunities for operational efficiency.
- Client & Stakeholder Coordination: Work closely with clients, engineers, environmental agencies, and regulatory bodies to meet project objectives.
- Site & Risk Management: Assess project sites, anticipate challenges, and implement solutions to mitigate risks and delays.
- 5 years of experience in hydraulic dredging, marine construction, or a related field.
- Proven project management experience, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Knowledge of hydraulic dredging equipment, pipeline transport, and dewatering processes.
- Familiarity with environmental regulations, permits, and compliance standards related to dredging.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work in fast-paced environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Marine Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- Certifications such as PMP, OSHA, or dredging-specific training are a plus.
