Position : Mechanical Designer
Reports to : Mechanical Engineering Lead
Supervisory Responsibilities : None
Position Summary :
The Mechanical Designer will contribute to the design and development of mechanical systems and components. This role involves collaborating with engineers and other team members to create effective and efficient designs that meet project specifications.
Essential Functions :
- Design and develop mechanical components and systems using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and constraints.
- Create and maintain detailed design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and bills of materials.
- Conduct analysis and simulations to validate designs and ensure functionality and performance.
- Review and modify designs based on feedback and testing results.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving design-related issues during the manufacturing process.
- Support project management efforts by tracking design progress and meeting deadlines.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance design processes.
