- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Preferred Professional Engineering (PE) license
- Proven experience as an HVAC Piping and/or Plumbing Design Engineer in the mechanical contracting industry
- Expertise in industrial and commercial HVAC system design
- Proficiency in relevant design software for piping and plumbing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Knowledge of applicable codes and standards
- Collaborate with project teams to develop HVAC piping and/or plumbing design solutions for industrial and commercial projects
- Create detailed drawings and specifications for mechanical systems, encompassing layouts, schematics, and calculations
- Perform calculations and analyses to ensure system efficiency and compliance with standards
- Coordinate with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to define project requirements
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements to bring innovative solutions to projects
- Provide technical support and guidance to project teams
- Equipment selection and material specifications
