Medical Malpractice Associate Attorney

Position: Medical Malpractice Associate Attorney

We are seeking an associate to join the firm's medical malpractice practice group. Our medical malpractice team is looking for a motivated attorney that can be available to begin supporting them with handling matters, research, drafting documents and taking depositions.

Requirements

• Have 2-5 years of experience in a medical malpractice litigation practice
• Deposition experience
• Proficient and independent in handling litigation matters, including depositions, pre-trial discovery, mediations, trials, etc.
• Excellent research, legal brief writing and communication skills
• General litigation motion writing and courtroom oral skills
• General understanding of medical records
• Working knowledge of Michigan Court Rules and Rules of Evidence
• Working knowledge of Federal Rules of Civil Procedure
• Comfort level with learning new computer software
• J.D. from an ABA-approved law school
• A member in good standing and active in the Michigan Bar.
