Position Overview : As an Outside Sales Representative, you will play a crucial role in driving sales, building relationships, and increasing market share in the local community.
You will be responsible for managing an existing client base while developing new business opportunities. Your expertise in lumber, building materials, and cabinetry will be key in assisting customers with their project needs and providing them with the best solutions.
Key Responsibilities :
- Build and maintain relationships with current clients, including contractors, builders, and other industry professionals.
- Promote and sell a wide range of lumber, building materials, and cabinetry products to meet customer needs.
- Leverage your existing local book of business to grow sales and achieve sales targets.
- Provide product knowledge and support to customers, offering expert advice on material selection and project specifications.
- Collaborate with the inside sales team and management to ensure timely order fulfillment and exceptional customer service.
- Conduct regular site visits to evaluate customer needs and assist with project planning.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline status using CRM software.
- Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to build brand awareness.
Qualifications :
- Proven experience in outside sales, preferably in the lumber, building materials, or cabinetry industries.
- 2020 Design Software
- Strong knowledge of lumber, building materials, and cabinetry products.
- Existing local book of business with established relationships in the building and construction sectors.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and results-driven, with the ability to work independently.
- Ability to understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Proficient in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
