What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plant Manager position at Gpac?
Gpac is currently seeking a Plant Manager for a food manufacturer near Dayton, OH!
The company has been in business for over 60 years and is 4th generation family owned. They pride themselves on a strong culture and value high quality ingredients. This person will report directly to the President and will be responsible for overseeing production lines, training employees, and overall ensuring their production runs smoothly. The company is growth minded so looking for someone who has a solid background in production leadership and continuous improvement as they continue to scale!
Responsibilities :
- Provide oversite and guidance to line operators to ensure smooth running of plant operations
- Meet with VP of Operations and President to work on weekly schedule of runs
- Oversee raw material utilization, yields, supplies and waste reduction to ensure they are being managed in the most efficient manner.
- Oversee production function of ERP system, ensuring that all data entry is kept up to date enabling accurate inventory management.
- Ensure daily paperwork is completed fully and approved
- Support initiatives for improvement in plant performance using established methods. Participate in daily plant management meetings
- Monitor line equipment for functionality, safety and cleanliness. Perform daily GMP and sanitation audits
- Follow GMPs, HACCP and CCPs
- Ensure compliance with Safety Standards and promote a safe work environment
- Performs other duties as assigned.
