What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plant Superintendent position at Gpac?
Gpac is currently working with a food manufacturer in southern Minnesota who is seeking an experienced Plant Superintendent. This person is going to be responsible for overseeing the Smoked meat division of their processing facility, ensuring production efficiency, quality control, safety, and regulatory compliance. This is going to be a start-up environment so looking for a strategic, hands-on leader with a strong background in food production and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards.
Qualifications :
- 2-3 years in Plant Leadership as a Production Supervisor or Superintendent
- Need to have experience with high-volume pork processing, smoked meats
- Plant start-up / experience within a growth environment highly preferred!
- Knowledge of USDA, HACCP, and OSHA regulations.
- Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills
Responsibilities :
Targeting $85k – $90k base
