Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, design, and management of land development projects, including residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
- Prepare site layouts, grading plans, drainage systems, and utility designs in accordance with local codes and regulations.
- Coordinate and obtain necessary permits from relevant authorities.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
- Perform site inspections and provide technical guidance during construction to ensure compliance with design specifications.
- Develop project budgets, schedules, and reports to track progress and communicate updates to clients and internal teams.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and technical staff to promote professional growth and team collaboration.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and local/state regulations affecting land development.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Colorado Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- 5 years of experience in land development design and project management.
- Proficiency in civil engineering software, including AutoCAD Civil 3D, and other design tools.
- Strong understanding of local and state regulations governing land development.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Experience with hydrology and stormwater management design is a plus.
