Position Overview : The Project Manager / Estimator will be responsible for managing fire protection projects from inception to completion and preparing detailed cost estimates for fire alarm and sprinkler systems. This role requires a highly organized individual with strong project management and estimating skills, as well as a thorough understanding of fire protection systems and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage all phases of fire protection projects, including planning, execution, and closeout.
- Develop detailed cost estimates for fire alarm and sprinkler system installations and upgrades.
- Prepare project proposals, budgets, and schedules.
- Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project requirements are met.
- Perform site visits to assess project scope and gather necessary information for accurate estimating.
- Review and interpret architectural, structural, and mechanical plans.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Conduct regular project meetings and provide updates to clients and senior management.
- Identify and mitigate potential project risks and issues.
- Maintain thorough project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
