We are currently seeking an experienced Purchasing Agent with a background in single-family home construction to join our team. This role is integral to ensuring cost-effective procurement and maintaining strong vendor relationships to support our operations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage the purchasing process for construction materials, equipment, and services for single-family home projects.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of quality materials.
- Solicit and evaluate bids, negotiate pricing, and award contracts to qualified suppliers and subcontractors.
- Analyze and forecast project material needs to avoid delays and optimize costs.
- Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and other team members to ensure procurement aligns with project schedules and budgets.
- Monitor market trends, pricing changes, and supplier performance to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Ensure compliance with company standards, contractual obligations, and quality expectations.
- Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, contracts, and vendor agreements.
