Regional Safety Manager

Seeking an experienced Safety Manager for a growing organization! Multiple site responsibly within the U.S., traveling to sites on a monthly or quarterly basis at minimum. Must be a proactive professional to own and manage the organization's safety program, developing campaigns and initiatives that encourage a proactive safety culture.

• Responsible for oversight and management of safety and health programs, policies, and procedures.
• Regularly inspect facilities, equipment, and work areas to ensure compliance with safety standards
• Work closely with management to establish safety goals, KPIs, and performance metrics.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and other regulatory agencies
• Regularly conduct risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions
• Lead a safety committee to regularly identify and solve potential safety issues
• Develop and manage formal safety training, and lead safety training sessions for all employees
• Manage Forklift training and associated certification program
• Investigate accidents, injuries, and near-miss incidents to determine root causes and prevent recurrence
• Prepare and submit detailed incident reports and recommend preventive measures
• Conduct safety meetings, toolbox talks, and safety committees to foster employee engagement
• Manage PPE program
• Requires collaboration with various departments to promote compliance with regulatory standards, reducing workplace hazards, and driving a culture of safety across the organization

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in occupational health, Safety Management, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in safety management. Experience in warehousing & distribution highly preferred.
• Experience with safety compliance and regulatory standards (OSHA, NFPA, etc.)
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP), OSHA certification, or similar safety qualifications preferred.
• Ability to work between an office & warehouse environment. Open to working in a non-climate-controlled environment with varying temperatures and humidity levels. Must be flexible to work extended hours or weekends as needed.
