Position Overview:We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Steel Millwright Estimator/Project Manager to oversee steel-focused projects from initial estimation to final completion. The ideal candidate will combine expertise in millwright processes with strong project management and estimating skills to ensure seamless execution of industrial and commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop accurate cost estimates for steel and millwright-related projects, including materials, labor, and equipment.
- Analyze blueprints, engineering drawings, and project specifications to prepare comprehensive bid packages.
- Plan, schedule, and oversee all phases of steel projects, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to align project goals and expectations.
- Manage on-site activities, including the installation and maintenance of steel structures and equipment.
- Enforce safety protocols and maintain compliance with industry standards.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing updates on project progress and addressing any issues.
- Monitor and control project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
- 5 years of experience in steel-focused millwright work, project management, or estimating.
- Strong knowledge of steel fabrication, equipment installation, and maintenance processes.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and engineering documents.
- Demonstrated expertise in cost estimation and bid preparation for industrial projects.
- Exceptional project management skills, including scheduling, resource allocation, and problem-solving.
- Familiarity with software such as Procore, AutoCAD, MS Project, and Excel.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- Commitment to safety and quality assurance standards.
