Plant Manager-
Responsible for the overall operation of the fabrication shop, production activities, and quality.
The position is responsible for directing, coordinating and controlling all aspects of this shop location
and its staff while demonstrating the primary goal of efficiently providing quality steel fabrication
services that exceed customer expectations.

Primary Responsibilities
- Safety
- Responsible for training and development of shop operations personnel and ensuring
- that appropriate personnel are trained for equipment operations (e.g., hoisting, rigging,
- forklift, man lift, etc.)
- Responsible for shop safety compliance and safety training
- Ensure all appropriate PPE is provided and utilized
- Ensure that any accidents or near missed are documented per company safety policy
- 10 years in structural steel shop fabrication supervision.
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, self-directed and capable of interacting and communicating with all levels within the organization.
- Demonstrated and proven leadership skills and ability to motivate teams.
- Strong problem solving/troubleshooting experience.
- Excellent listening and problem-solving skills combined with strong ability to negotiate.
- Excellent organizational skills with a strong ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to work at all levels of an organization - both internal and external customers.
- Must exhibit excellent leadership skills and be a recognized resource within the company.
- Must demonstrate strong business acumen as well as a full understanding of the implications of business level decisions. Must be able to communicate all aspects of decisions to senior management.
- Maintain a "big picture" strategic view.
- Ability to translate policies into daily routine operations.
- ERP/MRP experience: EPICOR preferred.
- College Degree highly preferred.
- Must have a High School Diploma, GED or at least ten (10) years of equivalent experience in the field and related work area with..
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office software.
- Understanding of Lean concepts.
