Transportation Policy and Public Outreach Project Manager – Management and Policy Planning
A leading national firm specializing in planning, design, communications, management, science, and technology is seeking a Transportation Policy and Public Outreach Project Manager to join its team. Role Overview
The ideal candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team focusing on transportation policy, strategic planning, public outreach, facilitation, and community engagement . This position involves overseeing projects, leading teams, managing client relationships, and developing policy-driven solutions for transportation planning initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Transportation-Centered Planning & Engagement : Contribute to policy development, public outreach, research, and community engagement to support equitable transportation solutions.
- Project Management : Direct project scopes, budgets, and schedules while overseeing internal teams and subconsultants to ensure successful delivery.
- Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration : Work with planners, designers, engineers, and community stakeholders to create innovative and transformative transportation plans.
- Client & Stakeholder Engagement : Maintain client relationships, lead public meetings, facilitate discussions, and ensure project outcomes align with community needs.
- Project Types : Work on corridor safety, bicycle and pedestrian planning, transit planning, streetscape improvements, and highway projects , with a strong focus on equitable mobility solutions.
- Business Development : Identify market opportunities, support proposal development, and participate in client interviews to expand the firm’s transportation planning portfolio.
