We are seeking an experienced Trust & Estate Attorney with a small book of business to join our growing team. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex estate planning, trust administration, and probate matters while collaborating with high-net-worth clients and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive trust and estate planning services tailored to individual client needs.
- Draft and review wills, trusts, and estate planning documents to ensure asset protection and tax efficiency.
- Handle all aspects of trust and estate administration, including probate proceedings, tax filings, and fiduciary guidance.
- Advise clients on wealth transfer strategies, including business succession planning and charitable giving.
- Conduct legal research and prepare detailed analyses on estate and trust matters.
- Work closely with financial advisors, tax professionals, and clients to create customized estate and trust plans.
- Juris Doctor (JD) and active membership in the Florida Bar.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in trust and estate law.
- Must have a small book of business that will transition with you.
- Strong knowledge of the Florida Probate Code and Trust Code.
- Proficiency in preparing and reviewing estate and gift tax returns.
- Excellent drafting, research, and analytical skills.
- LL.M. in Taxation or Estate Planning.
- Experience advising high-net-worth clients on trust and estate strategies.
- Knowledge of federal estate and gift tax laws.
