What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN Day Surgery- PRN position at GPCH, LLC?
Golden Plains Community Hospital is currently seeking a RN to work PRN in our Day Surgery unit. Hours and days will vary.

- Graduate of a program of professional nursing.
- Must possess a current Registered Nurse from the State of Texas.
- Must be currently certified in CPR and re-certified as required. ACLS and PALS to be obtained within 6 months of hire, and must maintain throughout employment in the Day Surgery/Outpatient area. Must be knowledgeable regarding the nursing process and its application, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
- Must be able to provide direct patient care for patients of all ages, neonates through geriatrics.
- Must be familiar with the standards of care regarding the Day Surgery/Outpatient treatments.
- Demonstrates the ability to perform the technical skills and critical thinking.
- Demonstrates knowledge and ability to document, place orders, and charge supplies and services using computer Electronic Medical Records (EMR). Also understands how to use paper records/documents when EMR system is not accessible.
- Demonstrates knowledge and ability to use the Pyxis Medication Administration system.
