Golden Plains Community Hospital is currently seeking an RN or an LVN to work the day shift in our Emergency Department.
Position Summary:
The RN or LVN has multiple roles and functions, including caregiver, decision-maker, client advocate, manager, rehabilitator, comforter, communicator, and teacher. The functions include assessment of the nursing needs of the patient, initiation of the plan of care of nursing actions, implementation of the plan of care, and the evaluation of the process by use of the nursing process. The Standards of Practice set forth by the professional nursing associations provide guidelines for competent, safe, and professional practice. The RN promotes the dignity and quality of the nursing care given to the patient.

Position Qualifications:
- Current Texas Registered Nurse License or Texas Licensed Vocational Nurse.
- Prefer 3 years of experience in a healthcare setting with a working knowledge of managed care principles, available community resources and alternative healthcare delivery systems, working directly with patients, families, staff and third-part payers.
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills with an understanding of medical terminology.
- Must be able to function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity and the ability to work effectively with patients, staff and support agencies.
- Must understand basic principles of adult education.
