GPD is currently seeking an Architect / Project Manager to lead our K-12 Education group in our Columbus, OH location.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Registered Architect with over 12 years of experience.
- Experience in architectural design and project management of K-12 projects.
- Demonstrates a talent for leading the design and direction of the project.
- Experience with all phases of the project including pre-bond and master planning, programming, design, construction documentation, and construction administration.
- Evidence of building and maintaining client relationships in the Education market sector.
- Comfortable assisting Business Development to respond to RFPs, develop and deliver presentations to school districts in pursuit of new projects.
- Has a strong knowledge and demonstrates expertise in the K-12 sector contracts and delivery methods.
- Experience leading a team of architects and designers and in-house engineers as well as sub-consultants in the completion of the projects.
- Familiarity with OFCC requirements.
Responsibilities will include:
- Manages all aspects of the project working with an internal team of educational planners, designers, architects, engineers and illustrators.
- Work hand-in-hand with the Project Architect, reviewing project status and quality of the deliverables.
- Manages the contracts, budget, and the schedule for projects.
- Manages the client relationship throughout the project.
- Supports business development in preparation of RFPs and participates in presentations.
- Assists in pre-bond and master planning activities with districts.
- Develops proposals and works with legal in the development of contracts.
- Reviews the technical development of the plans.
- Drives the process throughout to ensure deadlines are met with a quality product. Provides status updates to the team and client regularly.
- Participates in the documentation as needed. Participates in Community Meetings & Board Meetings.
