Power Co-op: Civil Engineering: This is not a “get coffee and file paperwork” type of co-op experience. You will be a billable member of the team doing design work for our clients and learning how to use different design technology and software systems, mentoring under a professional engineer.
Akron, Columbus, Youngstown OH or Indianapolis, IN office locations.
Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
Interest in high voltage transmission/distribution line engineering (12kV to 245kV).
interest in structural design for power utility infrastructure.
Ability to comprehend and interpret safety codes, utility standards and regulations.
Ability to read and understand construction drawings and develop estimates/budgets.
Must be a team player and be self-motivated.
Ability to work on project teams and work individually.
