GPD is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer/Designer for our Akron, Cleveland, Independence, Columbus, OH and Atlanta, GA office locations.
Job Qualifications:
- Electrical Engineer with 1-5 years of experience in the field of Retail/Commercial design with a focus on multi-site, retail or restaurant projects.
- Associate degree of Electrical Engineering Technology required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering preferred, but not required.
- Power distribution design.
- Interior/exterior lighting and controls design.
- Lighting photometrics.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit.
- Must possess excellent communication skills, professional writing skills and the ability to multi-task between several projects and priorities at one time.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.
- Some travel required for building surveys and construction administration.
- Valid Driver’s License is required.
Day-to-Day Job Responsibilities:
- Project design for electrical, lighting, and fire alarm systems.
- Address construction RFI’s and review equipment submittals.
- Communication and coordination with multi-disciplinary groups.
- Client interaction.
