GPD is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer/Designer for our Akron, Cleveland, Independence, OH office locations.
Job Qualifications:
- Electrical Engineer with 5-10 years of experience in the field of Educational (PK-12 and Higher Ed.), Public Buildings, Healthcare, and Federal.
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related Engineering Technology degree from an ABET-accredited program.
- Building power distribution design
- Building Interior/exterior lighting and controls design
- Lighting photometrics
- Generator system design
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit a plus.
- Must possess excellent communication skills, professional writing skills and the ability to multi-task between several projects and priorities at one time.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Excell, Outlook, Word, etc.
- Some travel required for building surveys and construction administration.
- Valid Driver’s License is required.
Day-to-Day Job Responsibilities:
- Project design for electrical, lighting, fire alarm and generator design systems for vertical construction projects.
- Mentoring and developing young staff to further our success in the industry
- Address construction RFI’s and review equipment submittals.
- Communication and coordination with multi-disciplinary groups.
- Client interaction.
