The Quality Control Specialist will support the manufacture of commercial and high reliability InGaAs and Germanium photodetectors. This position involves working in a microelectronics manufacturing environment performing quality related functions including : incoming material inspection, external pre-cap / seal visual inspection, final inspection, simple electrical measurements, documentation review, and data entry. Additionally, the QC Specialist will perform a variety of tasks supporting the overall Quality Management System, such as participating in internal audits, generating, investigating, and closing NC / CAPA reports, evaluating MRB material and RMAs, and managing the calibration program. This full-time, non-exempt role is located in Salem, NH and will report to the Director of Quality; travel may be required (<5% of time) SKILLS & ABILITIES :
- Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret basic blueprints / engineering drawings of individual components and finished assemblies
- Ability to perform : o Low & high-power visual Inspection per MIL-STD-883, Method 2010 o Visual inspection per MIL-STD-883, Method 2017 o Package inspection per MIL-STD-883, Method 2009 o Dimensional inspection of physical attributes using calipers, micrometers, and camera assisted inspection software
- Knowledge of / ability to accurately follow AQL sampling plans
- Participate in maintaining quality system processes (MRB / RMA, CAPA, audit findings)
- Competence to actively manage the calibration system, of internally and externally calibrated equipment o Recall tools and equipment needing calibration o Working with external calibration providers and internal resources to manage the calibration schedule o Update tool and equipment records for location, owner, calibrations performed, and PM o Perform impact studies as needed for out of tolerance tools and equipment
- Problem solving ability with an organized and analytical approach
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to foster collaborative, cross department relationships to prioritize work and meet common objectives

- Familiarity with ESD Controls, Cleanroom Protocols, FOD prevention, and Safe work practices Secondary Skills : o High Power Digital Microscopes o Mechanical Inspection Gauges o Digital Multimeter / Picoammeter o Bond Pull / Die Shear Gauges o Die Shear Testing to MIL-STD-883, Method 2019 o Wire bond Testing to MIL-STD-883, Method 2011 and 2023 o Printed Circuit Inspection to IPC-A-600 o Solder inspection to IPC-A-610 o MRP system knowledge is useful but not required EDUCATION, REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE :
- High school degree, or equivalent
